Today I started the final year of my degree, which in itself is a pretty scary statement to write! Time seems to travel faster and further than any of us wanderers ever could! I still remember the very first day I stepped on to campus, moving all my things into halls and meeting an overflow of people that I now treasure as some of my closest friends. Although I have been flooded with information for this next year (ultimately shared to "prepare" us but in reality just evokes fear and stress) I couldn't be happier with the university I attend, the course that I'm a part of and all that is expected of me this year.
Life rule: Hard work is expected if you're hoping to exceed at ANYTHING, so best not let it stress you out!
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that I needed to be here, in Falmouth, a small little seaside town in England. The reasons that brought me here no longer exist and the journey of the last couple years have in no way been how I imagined them to be. I'm not saying that in a good or bad way but rather in an absolutely-perfect-messy-fun kind of way. So my encouragement to anyone feeling slightly unsure of where life is taking them, rather than focusing on where you are, focus on bringing your heart with you. Wherever you go, go with all your heart. And then make sure you keep going with all your heart. It's a simple step that's easy to forget. If you do this, life will soon start rewarding you with surprises you might never have expected and in no time you'll be saying "...I have ended up where I needed to be".
